Color, pattern, and texture have always been inspiring to me. Creating quilts, garments, bags, or home decor is a way to bring those things together to make personal and unique pieces.

My Approach

I teach hands-on classes on bag making and sewing techniques at my local quilt shop, Ann Arbor Sewing Center. I am a teacher by education, and I enjoy sharing my love of all things sewing with others through workshops. It is important to me that my students enjoy the process and are proud of what they produce in my classes.

Sewing has always been present in my life - taught by my mother and grandmother. Clothes, home decor, quilts, bags, and some quilted garments have all been part of the story throughout the years.

I am a (retired) military spouse, mom to 2 adult sons, and dog trainer (trainee) of a border collie/poodle mix. My husband and I love to travel and explore new foods and drinks either at home or away!
